What is a Public Domain Book
A public domain book is the one that is not covered by intellectual property rights or copyright, usually because the rights have expired. Once a book enters the public domain, it can be reprinted and distributed without needing permission from the original author.
Does Writat, public such content?
Our program does not encourage selling content in the public domain; however, the following versions of a Public Domain book may be accepted; which are
- Translated Versions
- Annotated Versions
- Illustrated Versions
For e.g. any Public Domain book that contains fresh new content from the contributor like a summary, new Introduction, or explanation will be accepted.
When you start a New Project, please select "This is a public domain work".
Please note, we do not guarantee the listing of Public Domain books with all our sellers. Some sellers may refuse to list books in Public Domain.
