Starting Guide and Templates
Introduction
When you publish a book with Writat, you have to upload the final PDF file of the book. This file should contain the opening pages, body matter and closing pages.
So that you do not have issues in creating a file, below are various templates for you to download and create your book on. This way, you will never have problems in creating a file as per our standards.
Once we receive your file, our team would process them and publish it.
Below are the various sizes of books that we support and the link to download their templates. You can download any of them based on your requirements and suggestions given below.
Templates
The most widely used book size is 5.5 x 8.5 or 6 x 9 inches. However, we still print books in many other sizes.

8.5 x 11 | This is the largest size that is used for printing any type of book. This size ie generally recommended for books with heavy amount of text accompanied with illustrations, maps, images, tables etc. Some genres where this template is best suited for are

11 x 8.5 | This size is recommended for books with pictures, illustrations and little caption. This is the standard size for a Coffee Table Book. |
There is a minimum and maximum page requirement in a book. The minimum page required is 40 and maximum page allowed is 900. If your book is less than 50 pages you will have to add blank pages and if it goes beyond 900 pages, we suggest you make it multi volume.
